About Farselt: Farselt is a UK-based technology company helping organisations design, build and scale modern digital products. We work across web, mobile, cloud and product strategy, combining strong engineering with thoughtful design and commercial awareness.

We are building our founding team and are looking for a Founding Engineer to help shape our technology, culture and delivery standards from day one.

The Role:

As a Founding Engineer at Farselt, you will take ownership of building and scaling high-quality digital products. This is a hands-on role for an experienced full-stack engineer who thrives in early-stage environments and enjoys working closely with product, design and leadership.

You will help define our technical foundations while delivering real value to clients and users.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain scalable full-stack applications (frontend, backend, APIs).
• Lead technical implementation across client and internal projects.
• Make architectural decisions with long-term scalability, security and performance in mind.
• Establish engineering best practices including CI/CD, testing and code quality.
• Collaborate closely with product designers and solution architects.
• Mentor junior engineers as the team grows.
• Contribute to technical strategy, tooling and cloud infrastructure decisions.
  

Requirements

• 5+ years experience as a software engineer (product or consultancy background).
• Strong experience with modern full-stack technologies (e.g. React, Node.js, Python).
• Experience deploying and managing cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure or GCP).
• Solid understanding of REST APIs, databases and system design.
• Comfortable working in fast-moving, ambiguous environments.
• Excellent communication skills and ownership mindset.
  

Nice to Have

• Experience in startups or founding teams.
• Exposure to SaaS platforms or AI-enabled products.
• Knowledge of DevOps, serverless or microservices architecture.
